What to do
when someone dies
In the case of a death occurring at home and the death was expected you should contact the Doctor who attended the deceased during their final illness. The doctor will give you a Death Certificate showing the cause of death. This will be required by the Registrar.
As soon as the Doctor has been, you may contact Joseph Edwards & Sons who will make the arrangements for the deceased to be brought into our care at our Chapel of Rest.
If the death is sudden or unexpected you should contact the Family Doctor, Police, Coroner.
Floral Tributes & Masonry
Joseph Edwards can organise and arrange distribution of floral tributes, Printed service sheets, acknowledgement cards, obituary notices for the local Press and Catering for mourners after the funeral.
We also off a full monumental masonry service covering both burial and cremation memorials in a wide selection of materials and design.
Consideration for others is the most common reason for buying a Golden Charter plan. Peace of mind is the most common benefit. With Golden Charter you know that your loved ones will be spared much of the burden of bereavement.
You’ll have specified every detail of the funeral in advance, selected the funeral director and taken care of the costs.
